Investigators said Jessica Flores was attempting to cross Branford Street outside of a marked crosswalk with her boyfriend when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Authorities reported the collision occurred on a dark section of the roadway. Flores suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her boyfriend was not injured. The driver, identified only as a 33-year-old man, remained at the scene following the collision.
