Major Injuries Reported in Head-On Crash at Old Highway 395 and West Lilac Road in San Diego County
San Diego County, CA – July 4 — At least one person sustained major injuries in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon near Pala Mesa in San Diego County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 1:17 p.m. at the intersection of Old Highway 395 and West Lilac Road. CHP dispatch logs indicate the collision involved a blue Chevrolet Tahoe and a black or grey Honda Civic. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the crash and provided emergency medical care to those involved. Authorities said at least one person suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital. The patient’s condition has not been disclosed. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the head-on collision.
