Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 Near Highway 180 in Fresno
Fresno, CA – December 3, 2025 – A man was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 99 in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway, just south of Highway 180. CHP investigators reported that the driver of a black Nissan Sentra made an unsafe turn, causing the vehicle to drift off the roadway and crash into an overhead sign pole. The impact was so severe that the engine block broke free and was propelled into passing traffic. Three vehicles struck the debris, resulting in minor injuries. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures on the Nissan driver before transporting him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 11 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
