Fresno, CA, June 26, 2025– A woman identified as Melissa Griffin tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident involving a tractor on Colorado Avenue near Summer Avenue on Saturday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred when a man riding a Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycle was traveling southbound on Colorado Avenue. Investigators said the rider attempted to pass a John Deere tractor pulling a tanker trailer by maneuvering onto the west shoulder of the roadway. During the attempted pass, the motorcycle reportedly clipped the rear of the trailer, causing it to crash. Melissa Griffin, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male rider sustained injuries, but his condition has not yet been released. The driver of the tractor was not reported injured.
