Motorcyclist Killed in Anaheim Crash on SR-91 near Lakeview Avenue
Anaheim, CA, May 14 – A motorcyclist was killed, and at least one other person was injured, on Wednesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 91 in Anaheim, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said the fatal collision happened at about 4:20 p.m. on the eastbound side of State Route 91 near Lakeview Avenue. Preliminary reports indicated that a civilian motorcycle was involved in a collision with a white truck and a gray Toyota Camry. Following the impact, the motorcyclist went down in the No. 1 lane. Emergency crews arrived shortly afterward and found the rider unresponsive as firefighters performed CPR at the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. The rider’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. At least one additional person was transported to UCI Medical Center for treatment. No arrests were reported in connection with the crash. California Highway Patrol officers, Anaheim police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene. Authorities temporarily shut down all eastbound lanes of SR-91, and a SigAlert was issued for about one hour. Several lanes and the Lakeview Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR-91 remained closed while investigators worked at the scene.
