Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on SR-94 at Via Mercado in La Mesa
A tragic motorcycle accident in La Mesa claimed the life of a rider following a collision on State Route 94 near Via Mercado. According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 9:28 a.m. on the westbound SR-94 transition area near Via Mercado.
Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist collided with the rear of a truck while traveling in the left lane. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene and attempted to provide medical assistance. Unfortunately, the rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
