Bakersfield, CA, June 15 – A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning following a collision in the Frazier Park area, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 6:09 a.m. on Frazier Mountain Park Road, east of Mt. Pinos Way. Investigators reported that a 65-year-old man was riding a motorcycle westbound when he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet SUV driven by a 27-year-old man.The impact ejected the motorcyclist, who struck the SUV’s windshield before landing on the roadway.Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
