Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Fiery Collision on Old Woman Springs Road
Yucca Valley, CA – May 9 — A motorcyclist sustained severe injuries following a fiery head-on collision with a sedan Saturday afternoon near Yucca Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at approximately 5:42 p.m. on Old Woman Springs Road, also known as State Route 247, near Alderman Road. Authorities said a motorcycle and a Nissan sedan collided head-on under circumstances that remain under investigation. Following the impact, the motorcycle caught fire, and both vehicles were left blocking traffic lanes in the area. Emergency responders arriving at the scene located the motorcyclist on the right shoulder of the roadway suffering from critical injuries. Reports indicated the rider sustained traumatic leg injuries in the collision. Paramedics transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
