Motorist Arrested on Suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Narcotics Following Brief Pursuit
San Diego, CA – June 7— A motorist was arrested Friday evening in Pacific Beach on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics after a brief vehicle pursuit, according to the San Diego Police Department. Officers were dispatched at approximately 7:30 p.m. to the 2400 block of Garnet Avenue after reports of a driver behaving erratically in the parking lot of a Vons supermarket. Police located a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 allegedly being driven in an unsafe manner within the parking area. When officers attempted to investigate, the driver reportedly left the area, leading to a brief pursuit. Authorities eventually stopped the vehicle and detained the driver without further incident.
