Myong Park Identified as Pedestrian Killed on Highway 101 in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA – June 22 — Authorities have identified the man who was fatally struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning on Highway 101 in downtown Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the victim was Myong Park, 78. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 20 on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway, just south of Alameda Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Park was walking in the southbound lanes of the freeway when he was struck by a vehicle. Investigators are still working to determine why the pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of the collision. Park sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
