One Dead, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at CA-76 and CA-79
Santa Ysabel, CA – May 6 — One person was killed and two others suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Santa Ysabel on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 12:59 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 76 and State Route 79. Preliminary investigation findings indicate the incident involved a T-bone collision between a silver Hyundai and a red pickup truck. Authorities also noted that a Jeep was present at the scene after the impact. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of family members. Two other people sustained minor injuries in the collision. Emergency responders arrived at the location to assist those involved and clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway. Authorities stated that the red pickup truck required a tow truck equipped with at least 100 feet of cable for recovery operations.
