One Person Killed in Early Morning Auto-Pedestrian Crash at Valley Center Road and Ridge Ranch Road
Valley Center, CA – December 14, 2025 – One person was killed early Sunday morning following a fatal auto-pedestrian collision at an intersection in Valley Center, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 2:01 a.m. in the area of Valley Center Road and Ridge Ranch Road. CHP response logs indicate the incident involved two vehicles, one of which was parked, and a pedestrian who was in the roadway at the time of the collision. Initial reports suggested a possible motorcycle-related crash and an altercation at the scene. As fire crews arrived, they were advised that a male pedestrian was lying in the roadway. Authorities later confirmed that the pedestrian died as a result of the incident. The victim’s identity has not been released, and no additional injury information was immediately available. CHP reported no immediate arrests as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continues.
