One Person Suffers Major Injuries in Palo Alto Multi-Vehicle Collision on US-101
Palo Alto, CA (October 29, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on southbound Highway 101 in East Palo Alto left one person with major injuries on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).The crash occurred around 10:58 a.m. near the University Avenue off-ramp and involved four vehicles, including a gray Honda Civic, a silver Mazda sedan, and two others. Two vehicles sustained significant front- and rear-end damage, and airbags deployed on impact. One of the cars reportedly struck a sound wall, while the others came to rest near the exit. Authorities said a male driver exited his vehicle after the crash and collapsed on the roadway. He sustained major injuries, including a possible broken nose, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
