Palo Alto, CA – August 10, 2025 – Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in East Palo Alto early Sunday morning as Pamela Beran, of San Leandro. The crash occurred around 2 a.m., just south of University Avenue, when an Acura SUV traveling northbound struck the rear of a Toyota SUV. Moments later, a white Subaru SUV also collided with the Toyota, veering off the roadway and crashing into the concrete center median. Beran, an elderly passenger, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
