Pedestrian Fatally Struck at Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue
San Rafael, CA – January 14 – Authorities responded to a deadly pedestrian collision on Wednesday morning at an intersection in San Rafael that claimed the life of a woman. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. near the intersection of Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue. Investigators said the woman was walking in or near a crosswalk when she was struck by a green Toyota Tundra. The exact circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately clear. Emergency crews, including CHP officers, sheriff’s deputies, and firefighters, arrived at the scene shortly after reports of the crash were received. Despite their response, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the location. The victim’s identity has not been released as authorities work to notify next of kin. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators.
