Pedestrian Injured in Rancho Mirage Crash near Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111
Rancho Mirage, CA, May 6, 2026 – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in the Rancho Mirage area, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 9:42 p.m. near the intersection of Bob Hope Drive and State Route 111. Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle struck a person walking in the area under circumstances that remain under investigation. Officials have not yet determined whether the pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident. Deputies responding to the scene located the injured pedestrian lying in the roadway. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. No update on the victim’s condition was immediately available.
