Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Train in South Los Angeles
South Los Angeles, CA – June 23 — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a train Monday evening in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on June 22 in the 4100 block of South Long Beach Avenue. Investigators reported that a train struck a pedestrian who was on the tracks under circumstances that remain unclear. Authorities are continuing to investigate why the individual was on the railway at the time of the collision. Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on the victim. Despite emergency efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
