Pedestrian Struck and Killed at Florence Avenue and Pacific Boulevard in Huntington Park
Huntington Park, CA, July 13 – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday night at an intersection in Huntington Park, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said the collision occurred at approximately 9:43 p.m. at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Pacific Boulevard. Preliminary reports indicate that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the intersection when a vehicle struck the victim. Investigators have not yet determined the circumstances leading up to the collision. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. According to the California Highway Patrol, investigators later located the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash. The vehicle reportedly had a broken headlight. Authorities have not confirmed whether the driver was arrested.
