According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim was Peter Turner Ratcliffe, 19, of San Diego. The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the 10000 block of Carroll Canyon Road. The San Diego Police Department reported that Ratcliffe was riding a 2021 Honda motorcycle eastbound when he collided with the rear of another vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Ratcliffe suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead there.
