Santa Maria, CA (January 2025) – A fatal motorcycle accident early Friday morning in Santa Maria claimed the life of a 33-year-old rider, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.

The collision occurred around 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Donovan Road and Western Avenue. Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling west on Donovan Road at a high speed when he crashed into a vehicle making a left turn onto Donovan from Western Avenue.

Emergency responders arrived, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigation. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
