Three Hospitalized After Big Rig Overturns on 91 Freeway in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA – May 5 — Three people were hospitalised after a big rig overturned and landed on a sedan Tuesday evening on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim, according to authorities. The crash was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. near Brookhurst Street on the 91 Freeway. Investigators said the big rig overturned for reasons that have not yet been determined, causing the container it was hauling to fall onto a nearby sedan. Authorities noted that the rear portion of the container came to rest on a concrete K-rail, preventing the vehicle from being completely crushed. The two occupants inside the sedan were able to escape through the passenger side of the vehicle following the collision. Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the two individuals from the car, along with the driver of the big rig, to nearby hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.
