Elk Grove, CA, June 1 – Authorities have identified the two people who lost their lives when a speeding vehicle crashed into their car at an Elk Grove intersection early Monday morning. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Tiffany Chin A Chu and Skip Phoong A Van. According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the incident began at approximately 4:00 a.m., when an officer observed a Hyundai that appeared suspicious on the east end of Brown Road. As the officer turned to investigate, one individual reportedly fled on foot. Police said the Hyundai then sped westbound on Brown Road at a high rate of speed before reaching the intersection of Elk Grove Florin Road and Brown Road, where it collided with a Tesla.
