Victims and Heroic Security Guard Identified in Deadly San Diego Mosque Shooting
San Diego, CA – May 19 — Authorities and community leaders have identified the victims killed during a deadly shooting at a mosque in San Diego, where two teenagers allegedly opened fire Monday, leaving three people dead and several others traumatised. Among those killed was Amin Abdullah, a security guard at the mosque who has been praised as a hero for reportedly helping prevent additional casualties during the attack. Abdullah, a father of eight, was identified by representatives of the Council on American-Islamic Relations San Diego chapter. Officials said the shooting took place at San Diego’s largest mosque, sending worshippers fleeing for safety as gunfire erupted inside the facility.
