Woman Injured After Secondary Crash on Cathedral Oaks Road in Santa Barbara County
Santa Barbara County, CA – June 9 — A woman was hospitalised after being struck by a vehicle during a chain-reaction incident Monday morning in Santa Barbara County, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. The incident occurred at approximately 11:39 a.m. on June 8 along Cathedral Oaks Road near Los Carneros Road. Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle carrying two occupants initially collided with a deer that had entered the roadway. The deer was killed in the crash. Authorities said the occupants pulled over and exited their vehicle. While one individual was checking on the deer and inspecting the damage, a second vehicle crashed into the parked car. The impact pushed the parked vehicle into the woman, causing her to suffer injuries while she was standing in the roadway.
