Woman Killed, Dozens Injured in Major Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 210 in Irwindale
Irwindale, CA – June 20 — A woman was killed, and at least 32 others were injured in a major multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck Saturday morning in Irwindale, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 8:55 a.m. on the westbound Interstate 210 near the Irwindale Avenue on-ramp. Preliminary investigators reported that a red semi-truck was travelling eastbound on Interstate 210 when it crossed the centre divider and broke through the median barrier into the westbound lanes. Authorities said the truck then jackknifed across multiple lanes of traffic and collided with at least two vehicles, triggering a major crash scene. One woman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. At least 32 other people were injured in the collision, including two who suffered critical injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to numerous victims, with multiple patients transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
