Fresno, CA, July 4, 2025 – A tragic collision claimed the life of an 80-year-old woman and left two others injured following a two-vehicle accident at a southeast Fresno intersection on Saturday morning. The Fresno Police Department and emergency responders were dispatched to Huntington Avenue and Chestnut Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m. They discovered a serious crash involving a black Chevy Camaro and a white Lexus sedan. The Lexus had come to a stop after crashing through a metal fence . According to authorities, the 80-year-old woman was seated in the front passenger seat of the Lexus and sustained critical injuries. Firefighters extricated her from the vehicle and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The 36-year-old male driver of the Lexus was also hospitalized, though the extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.
