Woman Suffers Major Head Injuries in Train vs. Pedestrian Crash on Mission Avenue
Oceanside, CA , July 2, 2025 – A woman was critically injured Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a Coaster train in Oceanside, prompting a major emergency response and ongoing investigation by rail authorities. The incident occurred at around 3:25 p.m. in the 200 block of Mission Avenue. According to emergency radio traffic and officials on scene, the female pedestrian was struck by a Coaster train under unknown circumstances. The crash resulted in severe injuries, including major head trauma. Firefighters were the first to arrive and began life-saving measures at the scene. Due to the severity of her injuries, the woman was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla in critical condition.
